Penn State Behrend junior Anthony Tumino has been named the AMCC Men's Swimmer of the Year.
The Penn State Behrend men's swimming and diving team placed second overall, and first out of AMCC teams, at the 2025 AMCC-SUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships. This is the first year the SUNYAC hosted a combined championship with the AMCC.
Day three of the 2025 SUNYAC-AMCC men's and women's swimming and diving championships came to a close Friday night at the Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center at Erie Community College (ECC).

After day one of the AMCC-SUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships, Alfred State College leads all AMCC teams on the women's side, while Penn State Behrend sits in first on the men's side.
The AMCC men's swimming and diving teams will take to the starting blocks this week for the AMCC-SUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championship Meet. The AMCC and SUNYAC conferences are combining for their first joint championship in 2025. The event will take place at the Burt Flickinger Center on the downtown campus of SUNY Erie (formerly Erie Community College) in Buffalo, NY. The events will kick off Wednesday evening and concluding Saturday, February 22.
Compton placed first in the 1 and 3 meter dive in a tri-meet against PS-Behrend and Wheeling, with respective scores of 303.65 and 336.25
Perham set a new pool record in the 100 breaststroke on Saturday. He came in first place with a record time of 56.74, breaking a six-year old mark set by Chase Bietz (57.11). Perham also won the 200 IM for his second individual victory, touching in 2:05.7.
Compton won both 1-meter and 3-meter boards. On the 1-meter, he scored 269.85. Then on the 3-meter board, Compton won with a score of 272.25. Then at the Dick Comanzo Invite, on the 3-meter board, Compton finished first with a score of 563.40. Then on the 1-meter board, Compton tallied a score of 550.75 for first place. With that score, Compton set a new AMCC 11-dive record.
McMullen helped lead the Lions to a 3-0 week that consisted of wins over non-conference opponents Lebanon Valley, Juniata, and Elizabethtown. In Friday night's home win over Lebanon Valley, Hunter won the 100 Yard Butterfly (53.77) while being part of first-place finishes in the 200 Yard Medley Relay (1:39.64) and 200 Yard Freestyle Relay (1:30.25). The sophomore followed that up with another strong showing in a tri-meet sweep at Juniata on Saturday, where he won the 100 Meter Butterfly (1:00.11) and the 50 Meter Butterfly (27.05) while being part of relay wins in the 200 Meter Medley Relay (1:52.39) and the 200 Meter Freestyle Relay (1:41.52).
Conan Young set two pool records at Roberts Wesleyan, dominating three different races in the Panthers' first meet of 2025. He won the 1000-yard freestyle by 42 seconds and set the pool record with a time of 10:01.31. He followed that with another record in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:51.80. Finally, he closed with a win in the 100-yard butterfly, winning in 57.42 seconds.
Reichert came in second place in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives at Fredonia with respective scores of 218.30 and 196.95.
Mrachko earned two individual and one relay first place finishes at Fredonia this past week. Mrachko took first place in both the 100 butterfly and 100 IM with respective times of 59.54 and 58.89. He was also a part of the 200 freestyle relay, who took 1st place with a time of 1:33.07.
Compton won both boards at the Blue Devil Invite, he set a pool record along with a school and conference record on the 1 meter board with a 539.60. He followed with a 548.70 on the 3 meter board to set another pool record.
